Microsoft has made an important announcement about the Partner Community ahead of July Inspire conference. General Manager of Microsoft partner co-selling and go-to-market programs has stated that partners who provide value-added services will get strong margins for specialized business applications deployment and projects that require planning, implementation, integration, security, and compliance.
Microsoft has announced that this move is designed to help partners to strengthen their go-to-market capabilities and plans, and to address customers’ technological needs. With new ways, customers can easily understand the expertise of partners while increasing partner access to marketing resources and services. Network changes enable partners to reach customers to sell their services and applications. Toby Richards stated that market opportunities are significant for partners as businesses and organizations continue to move to the cloud.
With the introduction to advanced specializations and Azure expert managed service, Microsoft has enabled partners to distinguish themselves beyond their Gold partner statuses. Microsoft has further announced that it will be introducing more advanced specializations for Gold partners including Azure stack, server migration, security, and teamwork. Toby Richards said that customers want to understand the unique capabilities and specializations of partners in order to make decisions about the company to work with. So, certification will help in improving their credibility while convincing the clients.
Citing Gartner research report predicting that information security spending will surpass $124 billion globally, Microsoft stated that it will soon launch new security competency that empowers partners to deliver security-related services on Azure and Microsoft 365 while enabling them to protect identities & data of customers from cyber threats. Microsoft has announced that it will introduce new role-based exams for functional consultants in July and new exams for developers and solution architects in 2020. Toby Richards said that Microsoft is changing its approach related to benefits included with competencies. He further stated that Microsoft is adding access to enablement and go-to-market services for competency benefits.
